Mindful Messages


Recenlty while cleaning, I  came across a bunch of cards and unused stationary. I was reminded of a time when I wrote letters and notes and put my thoughts into words on paper. Today, I am able  to move so much faster. I jot a quick email, send a text or abbreviate my thoughts with hashtags and emojis......   Straight from my head to my keyboard and press "send".

Rather than discard the cards or put them in the donation box, I made a mindfulness practice of starting each day with a thank you, an acknowledgement, words of encouragement or congratulations. 

Mindfulness is not only sitting on a mat and meditating. It is paying attention and getting into your heart. One of the greatest gifts you can give someone is your attention and consideration. The effort it takes me to write a note and post it is a gift that gives in return. I pay attention and start from my heart.

What a great way to start my day!
